Golden Gate Imposing. Monolithic. Glorious. Wonderful viewing opportunities await at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. The grounds are excellent for a casual walk or to take in European masterpiece sculptures and paintings. The Legion of Honor is off the beaten path in San Francisco and is an underrated gem in the city. The $25 cab fare from Union Square is well worth it. August 31, 2009
