This image encapsulates the impermanence of life. The crab exoskeleton and kelp stipe with pneumatocysts will one day erode into earthly nutrients just as the rock beach will turn to sand in years to come.
Sand beaches seem to be the most common type of beach, so it is quite a nice surprise to stumble across a beach made up of large pebbles.
